I grew up riding my bike all over Boise, ID, as a kid and never lost my love for that feeling. Even as a midshipman at the US Naval Academy, I smuggled my bike in (although not until I was an upperclassman) and hid it in the boathouse where I trained as an oarsman. Bikes were not allowed and I could've been in serious trouble, but it was worth it. Being stationed in different parts of the country as a pilot, I started racing and was exposed to all the various types of riding from coast to coast. After several years racing on the west coast, I went back to school to become a dentist. Again, my riding took a hit, but as soon as I settled in Jackson I teamed up with Craig Prather, a high school friend who happened to own Teton Cycle Works. It's been a great 14 years here, watching (and helping) our trails develop as well as riding some of the best trails across our country and even overseas. I hope to keep enjoying this ride as long as I can.
